Dramatic scene of the Hornet's Nest at Shiloh...
Wonderfully dramatic. Nice composition.
"Some wore the color of the sky in the winter.
Some were as blue as the night.
They came like a storm, at the break of the morn,
and they fell through the whole day and night..."

The clouds make me think of cannon smoke.
A very moving bit of poetry.
 That's an outstanding photograph!
  This one belongs on your wall. Very dramatic presentation.

Its from a song, "Sticks that Made Thunder" by the Steeldrivers.
Its sung by an old tree, telling the story of something that made no sense to the tree...check it out:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdUJPAG0ns8I perform it with a little faster tempo.

Nice picture, but I have a question: if this is a "Confederate battlefield", where was the Union army that day? (usually it takes two to make a battle)
