I was about to take the plunge and upgrade to Windows 10. Just to be sure, I contacted Wacom and asked if my CTE-630 Graphite (13+ years old) would be compatible with the new system. Good thing I checked ...., they said it would not work as there was no driver available. Anyone else have this problem? Looks like I will be sticking with Windows 7.

I recently purchased a Wacom pad and it works fine with Windows 10. I upgraded from Windows 7 ultimate.

Why don't you change your title to actually describe your situation?

My OBSOLETE Wacom not supported... As there are plenty of us using recent wacoms that work just fine, and your entire post is irrelevant.

I found this reply in the Wacom forum from someone that had the same question.

"I had the same problem. Uninstall all previous drivers and install these drivers: ftp://ftp.wacom-europe.com/pub/WINDOWS/ ... 5a_int.exe"

I have no knowledge of Wacom, but I do have devices that were not supported under Windows 7 working happily on Windows 10 with various device drivers. Sometimes it is just research, trial and error.

Always check with wacom whether new drivers are available. Wacom usually does NOT update its drivers to new windows versions. I have the same issue with a bamboo pen & touch which doesn't work on w10, so I stayed with w7.

You can always run the compatibility trouble shooter for the Wacom driver or software and choose to run the installed driver in compatibility mode for Windows 7 in a Windows 10 environment.

i have a wacom tablet, intuos, no problem with my new windows 10 computer. i do have a problem with my itunes...windows 10 does not have the driver for my ipod. spent many hours on the phone with apple, only to find they do not have a solution for this. it seems that with an upgrade the ipod works but with windows 10 installed from factory, no drivers available.
i am now using my ipod with my laptop, a windows 10 upgrade.

oh yes, for 2 hours we tried everything. it does seem to be a problem with new computers that come with windows 10. it isn't as much a problem with windows 10 upgrades.
thanks for your suggestion!

Strange, but good to know.

Did you try accessing the iPod as a paired bluetooth device or via WiFi. It is also possible to connect and sync with an iPod using Windows 10 via WiFi and Bluetooth. That could be another work around.

I assume you ruled out a bad iPod USB cable??? And have tried more than one USB port on your Windows 10 computer with factory installed Windows 10. Made sure the firewall is set to allow iPod access??

Use this link to learn how to enable iTunes devices access through the Windows 10 firewall:

http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201751

There is no question that Windows 10 has drivers that support iTunes and iTunes attached devices because Windows 10 in place upgrades do not have a problem.

This appears to be a firewall or permissions issue with your computer.

as i said, i spent 2 hours on the phone with apple. they did a remote session and couldn't find the ipod anywhere on the new computer. there was no driver listed for it, and the computer could see the ipod but itunes couldn't. i did try other usb ports, still didn't work. it does work on my laptop with a windows upgrade. the driver was found there, but not on the computer that came with windows 10. i was told by apple that microsoft has to provide a patch or driver for itunes in windows 10.

Follow my link and explanation above (in my previous post) to ensure that the Windows 10 firewall has allowed a firewall exception and access for iTunes and iTunes connected devices.

I'm not trying to be impertinent but all you're telling us is that someone spent 2 hours working with you. Have no idea what was or was not tried to resolve this issue. Saying someone spent 2 hours trying to fix it is kind of meaningless.
