It's a "clearwing" moth, probably in the genus Vitacea. There's a species in Texas that's very similar, and indeed may be the species you've photographed:
Vitacea admiranda.

I am fairly certain that this is a
male Oak Stump Borer Moth (Paranthrene asilipennis) of the genus Sesiidae.

Good call, Nikonian. The clear winged moths are so varied, they're hard to pick out unless they're a common pest. You did a great job in finding this one!
