I wonder how many Americans know their country just died a little more today. Executive Orders on gun control, as announced by the administration, are meaningless to the criminals among us. They will do NOTHING to stop CRIMINALS from getting guns. NOTHING. This executive order exposes, once again, how this administration thinks they are above the law - above the Constitution of the United States - which they swore to preserve, protect, and defend! Separation of Powers means absolutely nothing to this group of elitists. How many times must it be restated that the Legislative Branch makes laws, NOT the Executive? We have just over one full year as victims of this train wreck of a clown parading as a leader...we're going to need some really good luck to survive it. Without the 2nd Amendment, the rest of the Amendments - the entire Constitution for that matter - are just words on a page. "We The People..." means nothing if "The People" are left defenseless.


So the next time anyone needs to wipe their backside....you might as well use the Constitution, because it doesn't mean chit without the most important Amendment.

Too bad all this jibber-jabber is just that, jibber-jabber. And political grand standing to take your focus off, out of control governmental spending, budget that does not balance and skewed unemployment figures. But our country needs more focus on gun control. Funny thing is, there are already laws in place that mirror exactly what was spewed over the airwaves earlier!
And the tears! Are we supposed to shed tears? What a show!
If only the politicos would enforce the laws already in place and be stricter on the criminals that are caught after committing a crime with a 'weapon' than just giving a slap on the wrist.
But life of a politician is easier to go after the law abiding people than trying to deal with criminals who can hide under rocks and be protected by frivilous loop holes in the law!
Oh well, said too much. Sorry for the rant and hope I don't get shunned from this great group.

No. but those laws already exist. And the changes won't do any thing to prevent criminals from getting guns. This president does not care about anyone but himself. First of all the number of gun murders is far less nthan in previous years. All that is necessary to further decrease those nubers is to enforce laws already on the books. Furthermore a large number of the murder by guns occur in the 5 or 6 cities with the most restrictive gun laws. Are all run by liberal democrat politicians

It's all pretty amazing to me. Originally when we spoke of passing new laws, the right wing said we have enough laws, just enforce the ones we have. Now the President has said, we have the laws, we're going to enforce them and the right wing has lost their minds, saying this is the end of the USA and the beginning of a dictatorship.
You guys really need to read your old posts.
Background checks already exist. This is merely making sure they aren't sidestepped by unscrupulous dealers.
