I live in the Hill Country, about 30 miles due North from San Antonio. Same down here, but diet is mostly deer. Everyone calls them turkey vultures. I have no idea what they really are...except they are great at clean up.

Turkey vultures have red heads. Think these are black vultures. Much of my animal knowledge comes from viewing photos on UHH - lol.

I'm pretty sure that these are Black Buzzards. They are quite common in rural and urban settings.

A gourmet meal for sure. I've heard it said that armadillos are even better if left for a day or two. :lol:
