Of course, if you plug a UHS 3 card into a UHS 1 bus compliant device, you get UHS 1 speeds, so make sure your device can handle the higher bus speeds.
I believe UHS I & II bus speeds max out at 104 MB/s and UHS 3 tops out at 312 MB/s.
I think that the UHS 3 cards also have an extra rows of contacts, so if you use it in an older reader or device, those extra contacts are not used, and the speed drops dramatically from the UHS 3 speed.
Didn't know that, thanks for the info.
