I know the feeling of only getting one light to work in stacking.
Nice shot Stepping.

I'm going to keep on shooting and collecting data in the hope that I'll get something worthy to complete the process Craig. It's so new to me and learning different techniques is my goal. Call me "CLICKMASTER".

Well you keep it going there, Clickmaster. Lookin good from here.
Build your files while you can for the next rainy day.
I'm building LRGB, Darks , flats, Bias libraries for both my cameras SonnyE. If I'm forgetting something , let me know ? Hopefully soon I'll be trying to learn auto guiding with my 3 hand cameras. Hoping that the guide scope my CNA got for my XMAS arrives this week. We've been getting darn "MONSOONS " here on the East coast for over a week." I'm drowning in sorrow not being able to get out."

The only thing that comes to mind would be temperature notes of your files.
Not sure how much difference it makes, but it is something often mentioned.
Thanks SonnyE , alresdy accompanying the pics but, thanks for the heads up SonnyE. Guide scope arrives today Orion 50mm deluxe mini w/ helical focuser . I'm getting ready , can't wait.

Life according to Ed is that temperature is important for Darks and Lights. Not so much for Flats or Bias shots..
Flats need to be shot with each session as focus is the important factor not temperature.
I hope this helps clarify the broth at bit.

I'm glad you will finally have the Force on your side with a Guide Camera.
I think now, after 30 years without one, it's a very crucial part of Astrophotography.

You can teach an old dog new tricks.... ducks... runs...
From an older dog learning new tricks. ;)
Just hilarious you guys are too funny, thanks for the heads up on all the info. My! this is going to be fun, fumbling over myself out at the scope then retreating to the Cave for hot Salty caramel Capaccino and seeing everything hopefully guide like a champ. I've been using sky for about 10 months and phd2 shouldn't be much more difficult {it's made for dummies} isn't it? Picks the guide star for ya , etc...? I hope to be more accurate than being off a degree and sometimes if I got that really good alignment it's within a milli. according to sky , I been close but, when I don't hook to the computer, I seem to get less than 5' from the pole and 2 nights ago I hit 1'. I get so excited , that I forget to hook it to the hand pad. PHD2 will hook to the aux. port on the mount right?

You are in for a treat, Ronnie.
PHD 2.5.0 works very well for me now.
But I was too dumb for it to work before I found these tutorials:
PHD Basics 1PHD Basics 2Then, the light came on for me. I needed to get it started.
The Tools menu has a lot of the things you want. (Well, two important ones... )
Auto-select star, and Guiding assistant.
I received my guiding scope too , I'm stoked now ! I'm still cursed with clouds , the rain has moved East and it's time for a dry out if at all. I've been working on putting my subs into separate files. I shoulda coulda woulda set them up from the "get go" but, I just can't think or focus most of the time. It's a wonder I can even image anything SonnyE. Thanks for the links buddy.
Thanks yall for your advice, I'll be trying to get all my equipment ready for the next opportunity to give it a go. I'm glad I've got some good buds, that can kick the can down the road with me. I also take wildlife and landscapes, you can check them out in the photo gallery. I 've got camera and I'm "CLICKIN" from my stoop.
