Thank you Bret. My camera I liked the most was a Fuji S7000, simple to use and had a great macro lens. Managed to drown it and if I had known how hard it would be to replace, I would have had it repaired, but I thought newer would be better. Wrong. Now using a Fuji S 4000, nowhere near as simple and nowhere near the quality. I do not want a SLR, just a really good simple bridge camera with the ability to take sharp pictures, macro or distance; anybody got any suggestions?

I use the Kodak Z981...can shoot down to 9mm...26x zoom...and its 14mp...does a pretty good job...and I still use it.
These came out great! Right now I am using a s4000 also but my photos all come out a little funky. Do you recall what settings you used and how far away from the subjects were you?
Your pictures are stunning, the animals. the birds, the flowers. I shoot many of the same things, but mine are weak by comparison. Beside the flowers, I too shoot almost anything outside.

I use a Nikon D5000 and edit mostly with windows live gallery.l I use photoshop, too, sometimes. Trying to practice with that one.
