Actually I'm using three browsers as in IE, which I'm on right now, Chrome and Firefox. I find there are sites that give me problems on IE but work fine on Firefox. Then there are sites that give me problems on those two so I use Chrome. It's a bit of a hassle but it does work.

For everyone that is having issues with Firefox, which version are you currently using?
I received a notice this morning about an update and with a lot of individuls having issues, just wondering if you are on the latest update version, which might be the problem.

It literally crashes every other day, regardless of which of three computers I use. This is a reminder to change.

I use Firefox in both computers with no problems to report (knock wood). Both machines use Windows 7.

One computer is Windows 10. The other two are Windows 7. Both crash often. Wonder what the problems are?

I am currently at version 42, and have no issues on Win7.
I see that I have a notice to update to 43.0.1 but that may be causing issues so I will hold off for now.

I updated to version 43.0 a few days ago. On reboot I got a message that Kaspersky Internet Security was not compatible with Firefox and had been disabled. Their only advise was to use a different browser. I took their advise.

I sometimes think that these darned machines aren't worth te troubles that beset them. But then, why do I sit behind one so much?

Wish I could help you solve your issues, but when I get serious problems, I call my younger brother or my son.

Good Luck!!!

Are you sure it's Firefox freezing up? Could it be your operating system?

Firefox just updated yesterday and it is still freezing up--starts freezing the minute I connect. Constantly get a message saying "not responding"

I've been in correspondence with the admins on this site because Firefox fails to load pages. It locks up when the site calls for something on googleadservice. So, it doesn't appear to be the browser so much as some crap google is doing.

There is an outside chance that there is some code bug on the site side, but I'm thinking not.

This has been going on for about 2-3 weeks now.

I have been using Firefox for about 8 years. I'm using version 43.0.1 currently. Earlier on, many versions ago (like when it was 12 or 13) there were some locking up problems and it would reboot the software then pop back up after it fixed whatever was wrong, but I haven't seen that for at least 4 years or so now.

I don't use Firefox for email but use their Thunderbird dedicated email software instead. It's similar to Outlook Express but much more versatile.

Use Thunderbird for your email and you won't have those problems. It will even go to your mail server and try settings until it gets the right ones for you to sign in so that you don't have to enter any of the archaic pop.whateverserver.com or anything else. I have 8 email accounts at three different server companies and never have any problems except when one of the server companies is having a problem themselves.

After you get used to it, you won't ever go back to Internet Explorer and Outlook Express. You can also put a small app in Firefox called Adblocker Plus and never see ads on any webpages anymore. Backgrounds are customizable, screen colors are customizable, everything can be personalized to make a much more enjoyable browsing adventure.

I also use Google Chrome for browsing sometimes. No reason but I just like to use it for some stuff. Probably because of their Google Apps first page when I open Chrome.

Put Adblocker Plus in your Firefox. Googleleadservice is related to ads.
