Hi Dave, ..--.. ? In American Morse it is -..-. I was surprised that it was fairly easy to separate from the international Morse. I never got to 10 wpm in American and about 25 in the international. You can find them http://brasspounder.com, --... ...-- k6tv

Hello cfrank, some of the old ops could go along at 20 wpm with a straight key that I showed and 35 and faster with the semi-automatic "bug", Merry Christmas, Tom

Looks like a telegraph set from a railroad station...

At one time I could send and receive morse code in excess of 30 words per minute....

Watched Jay Lenno having a contest with a couple of kids and their cell phones texting versus 2 Ham radio operators sending the same message.... Yep the hams beat the cell phone texters

Hi Larry, this type key and sounder was made for practice but could be used on the line if needed. I have a copy of the Lenno program. The one operator was a member of The Telegraph Club in CA. Sense moving to AZ my hamming is very restricted. So I have been doing more photography. Happy Holidays, 73 K6TV ..

I have a repeater up on the local hospital... Been there for over 30 years... That tends to be the major radio activity here... Photography has taken over as my hobby along with bicycling... 5500 miles so far this year... Tow a small trailer on the bike sometimes to carry my geat...

Very nice to meet you

In the lyrics of Glenn Campbell's song, 'Wichita Lineman', there is a line, ‘I hear you singin' in the wire’.

It brings back a lot of childhood memories.

How many can remember putting your ear to the pole and listening?

I like that song.
