Can I get WIFI to work between my Nikon D7200 and my iPhone 6? The included instructions only talk about Android phones.

I have used the App with my D610 & D7100 which also require an additional wifi transmitter WU-1a and WU-1b. Yes, Nikon is their infinite but inexplicable wisdom decided to make 2 different size connectors for their DSLR cameras - mini and micro. Sheesh. That said, they do work quite well though I rarely ever want the files transferred to my iPhone. By default the app transfers every file as soon as captured and it's slow. If you just want the app/phone for a trigger/LED viewer you can turn off that function in app tools. Fortunately you won't need the adapter WU-1b for your D7200. I also have a Nikon AW-120 that has the wifi built in and occasionally use the app for that camera too. Works nicely.

Andriod supports NFC, I don't think ios does.

Wmu does work.

My problem is that the connection isn't stable.

It works with my iPad so it should work with the iPhone you need to download the Nikon app.

Yes you can, I just did last night, and in fact the Nikon manual helped me more the the 500+ page book by David Busch.
You must download the MUA, Mobil utility app to your phone (p 250 inset) from the Nikon manual. It is available in the App Store, free.
Then go by the instructions, works for both, and. & ios.
Check out security on p. 257.
Going to be out most of the day, back tonight, let me know how you are doing
Hope this helps
Duane

The WMU app works great on my iPhone6. Never had any issues with it. Did some group shots at a wedding and everyone there was fascinated that I could control my D7200 remotely. Had to redo a couple shots as I always forgot to look up....LOL!

Download the Nikon App from the website. Turn on the Wi-Fi in your camera settings, click the app open and tap connection, the connection will be made. Very easy to do. Enjoy.
