Can any one please tell me what the regulations for buying a shotgun in the state of New York. And what are the regs regarding taking that shotgun to Connecticut. Thanks much

As I, a resident of NY understand it, when carrying a shotgun in a car, the gun must be disassembled into two (2) parts, usually the barrels and the action, kept separate from ammunition, and carried in the trunk of the car.
Contact Connecticut for their regulations, which are probably similar.
