Thank you Frank. The little park is next door to where I work, I'll post the entire text tomorrow. Unfortunately, I couldn't get in a position to get the whole plaque when I took the shot.

Understood H but don't go to any trouble for me.......just thought it would add to the shot to have it all.
I really like the contrasts with the stark white tree. Maybe they'd let you move it so the plaque is either fully hidden or fully visible? :)

Great idea Linda! However, I don't think that they'd appreciate me re-arraigning their holiday display :)
I went back today and there is nowhere that I can get to that would give me an unobstructed view of the plaque and still get a good composition :?
For Frank and anyone else that's curious, The text of the plaque reads:
My outdoor sanctuary
Within this little park, tranquility reigns.
From a bench, I watch as butterflies flit about and pause to choose their next drink of nectar.
The damp grass shimmers in dappled sunshine while songbirds warble in the tall oak's treetop.
The cool breath of spring stirs the leaves and refreshes my weary soul.
I cherish this peace and quiet,
interrupted only by a bird's splashing bath.
I linger for as long as I can
at this oasis in the midst of bustle.
Reluctantly I leave, but will return eagerly and often
to this outdoor retreat, this sanctuary.

That's lovely, Erik. Thanks for letting us know.

Good for Helen...Thank you H.

This shot is just a lot of fun. At first the white looks really out of place; but then, as Linda suggested, the contrast becomes really interesting.

You're both welcome, and thank you for your comments.
However, I expect that Ms Turner must visit the park after 5pm because the mechanics that work with me are constantly outside testing and running power equipment and it's anything but tranquil during the day
