There were many times that the lanes to the Island were just to cluttered to take a picture making it very busy looking. We just happened to be starting an early dinner on a deck and all of the sudden thwere was the sailboat the the returning ferry leaving the island to get the photo.
Thanks for viewing it.
Didn't realize that there could ever be a nice day on "The Rock" but the picture is a good one.
It is all the stories that have been told and just to be there and see the place. It is moving at times depending on your location.

Thank you for the great picture. It is definitely worth hitting the download button. My brother and I took a tour of the "Rock" back in the 80's I think. There was an ex-inmate there by the name of Leon "Whitey" Thompson. He spoke of his experience there and wrote a book he was selling. I bought the book and he autographed it for me and my brother. It was very interesting and a great tour! We had a very good time, but walking down the alley and going into the cells gave you just a minute sense of what they went through. Cheers.
