From 1 Chester County resident to another, for the type of photography you are doing, the 6D is with out a doubt the way to go. It's got great IQ, and unlike any 5D or the 50D, its got WIFI.

hey can I order from Starbucks with the Wi-Fi! Seriously if I could I would do a stripper 6D, no video, no Wi-Fi and be done with it. I wish they did a module body.

But I chose the 5Dmkiii over the 6D for a few reasons and carry my 50D with it.
What lenses do you have ??

We're just a bunch of dairy cows! Only a small part of their "output" is usable! :-D

I own the 6D ... I love the weight difference. I love the low light capabilities... I absolutely HATE... HATE.... that I am limited to only 11 AF points and only one cross/type focus point in the center.
This means..... that in low light situations.... you are using the center focus point and having to re-position the camera. It was an absolutely huge mistake for Canon to build the 6D with the limited AF points it came with. But by doing so, it did keep higher sales volumes of the 7D and 5DMkiii.
I don't miss duel cards.. never had a card go bad on me...knock on wood .... And I love it's light weight and capabilities. But as a predominately "PEOPLE" shooter, I miss not having more Focus Points on the 6D.
If I was to choose again... I would have gone with the 5Dmkiii. But now... I will be watching the reviews of the 5Ds-5Ds-r.
Why not buy the 5Ds, 5Ds-r ... and give us a first hand review!!

By the way ..... Ken Rockwell, as someone has mentioned, really is a great source for this sort of analysis. And by reading his reviews, I almost feel like I am helping him feed his growing family! LOL

The Canon 6D also has GPS.

Can't go wrong with either one. Here in LA you can get good used 5DII for between 950-1000 and some used 6D for about 1100-1200 but new for 1,399. Both are great cameras but 6D has newer technology and is a little lighter.

I actually just bought a 5D. I will keep my 50D. I want to see for myself the difference between APS-C and FF. For the price I paid I think it is not too much to pay for the experience.

Canon does have a few copies of the 5D MkII available in the refurb store, but you have to move quickly. They do not hang around for very long. Wedding shooters love using it. Refurbs carry the same 1 year warranty as do new cameras.
