All of these shots were taken at the Conowingo Dam, in Maryland, with a Sigma 150 -500mm. Like all photographers, I'm now thinking about moving up, maybe to the Sigma 150 - 600mm, does anyone know the major difference between the 'Contemporary' lens and the 'Sport' lens and is it worth the change?

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your compliments and your advise. I'm still thinking about the 150 - 600mm (we can never have enough reach) but, for now, I'll keep shooting the 150 - 500mm.

Very impressive BIF shots! No idea about your lens choice, you are obviously doing great with your 500mm.

These are very nice shots. Too bad you didn't check "store original" so we could see what the lens can do.

The difference between the S and the C is build quality, weight, slightly better optics especially at 600mm, weather seals, and price. The price and weight favors the C, the balance favors the S.

These are all very well done . Great framing etc . But to me there lacking
That the little bit of extra pop that you would get with the same shots using a canon or a nikon , I would check out the new 200-500mm nikon if your using
A nikon . That sport lens may just give you that zing that you need .
