It's not all that bad Roger! There is some detail in it. What did you do to your back?

I don't know. I sat up in bed one morning about a month ago and my feet were cold so I pulled the comforter up and shot a pain in my low back and since then my leg has been numb and I have a needle pain from my lower back to my knee. It varies from my back to my front thru my hip and front thigh, and down to my knee. Not all at once, it seems to pick a spot per day to hurt. I can barely stand up straight and walk. I THINK it might be a slipped disk or perforated disk. They seem to explain the symptoms. But it sucks so much and is so debilitating.

I did concrete work when I was young and dumb. Fell off a 40' wall. Lucky it was muddy and I didn't break anything. But I had a mussel twist so tight it got bruised pretty bad. It has been pretty good, but it is starting to come back to haunt me. Being over 60 SUCKS.

I would like to but alas, unemployed and no insurance. I may end up anyway just going to the ER.

Roger, Get your butt in to see a doctor!! Everyone else does. And if you have worked all these years, don't feel bad about the system paying for it. It is your tax dollar too!USE IT! Don't let it go to long, that's what I did being young. Didn't go in till I couldn't stand it. Now I am paying for my back problems too.
Get your butt in there! :) :)

Thanks Erv, I'm gonna talk to my sister about it later today. She works in a hospital so might have some connections. And I guess you're right about the tax dollar thing. That's been a hang up for me ie feeling like I'm mooching. Maybe I shouldn't.

It may also be you sciatic nerve. I've been having some problems with mine since the beginning of the year. The symptoms you have were just like mine. Some muscle relaxers and rest will help.

Oh yes, I have no doubt it's the nerve. I just think it's being pinched by either a slipped disk or perf. disk. The basic location is the low spine but it sometimes hurts in the front groin like a hernia, sometimes through the hip and sometimes the front thigh and even knee-to a lesser degree, and the inside of my leg skin is somewhat numb, so that's classic sciatica. I have some hydrocodone, and my recliner has vibrators in it and I have a heat pad so when I park my butt in it and turn it all on it really helps out. My only question would be just exactly what would be the proper therapy etc... and as far as I've found it basically comes down to rest.

One thing lots of new camera folks don't know is that you get more detail in partial moon shots than full ones - keep shooting it your doing OK.
As for your back & lack of medical don't hesitate to start calling your sienion center for advice -they get a lot of folks like you and know the resources for you to go to.

I did 5 days in Coco in April several years ago - loved it - but I alrady had an offer for a "FREE" unlimited stay in Puerto Morelos, MX just south of Cancun - went there for 5 yrs. Harvey -74 yrs and still clicking
