Saw a brief headline that Canon has filed a suit in an attempt to halt gray market sales.

I like dealing with and supporting my local camera shop, Norman Camera. They are good people, a great resource and when Fuji announced their November sale on lenses they matched the price of B&H without even asking.

In my experience, saving a little money up front can easily become very expensive when you need help.

I heard of them. Investigated buying from till I discovered that they import Gray Market products that are NOT covered by the USA warranty. Yes, you can buy a warranty from them but who try's to fix your camera and what is the turn around time.? My suggestion, stay clear of them and any gray market retailer.

If you click on their ad , then click on what's included you will notice that they don't list a battery and charger . check the prices that they want for a battery and charger , and they don't say its if its a nikon or third party battery and they want like 3 times the price .

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I'd stay far far away from this. IMHO. Best of luck.

In my camera buying life B&H, Adorama, Cameta or KEH are much better. Even Amazon so long as Amazon is the provider make sense versus dealing with a gray market product.

Its the same exact camera, except for the warranty. Also, no Nikon USA repair facility will repair a gray market camera.

Grey market import. In store warranty. DO NOT BUY. Nikon will not repair and Nikon will not provide parts. Dealer will have to send camera back to country of origin (anywhere - India, Brazil, Russia)). Repair could take months..if it can be repaired.

I bought a D7200 from Calumet Photographic a brick and mortar store which also has a web sight when I thought about buying from a website I considered B&H and also Ritz Camera which is Calumet I would stick with someone who you can get service from and can call in the event you have problems just a thought.

The reputation of the store does not guarantee. BH sells imported products but will state as such. Others will not. If US warranty is not indicated assume it is not. It is a key selling point to the product for it to be missing is likely intended.

Once you add the cost of a seller warranty, you are not far off from a U.S.A warranty in most cases.
Also compare prices of the batteries, chargers, etc. You can see where they make their profit.
Some of these companies require that you phone them to "confirm" your order. That is their opportunity to up sell you on overpriced accessories. All of the above and more have been discussed on this site many times regarding different discount sellers.

Nope. Whether you should buy a grey market camera depends on what level of risk you are prepared to accept if the item arrives in defective condition or is later in need of repair.

I didn't have to get past the second paragraph, "IN NO EVENT SHALL RECOVERY OF ANY KIND AGAINST AJRICHIECIES.COM, IT'S CORPORATE OFFICERS, ........"

Anyone even remotely affiliated with AJRichies is a deal breaker. And they didn't even spell it right!

Personally, I'd stick to the reputable sellers: I don't the time, patience, or $s spent to rectify a bad transactionÂ….

Comment on "resellers" ratings. "Fly by night" companies have been known to "stuff the ballot box", so I would not trust the overall ratings: the glowing reviews may be employees or others with an interest in the bottom line of the company.

I would, however, read the comments where something has gone wrong for a snapshot of what can (and has) gone wrong for others.

JMHO.

As others have advised, please consider this company very carefully before you decide to purchase from them. Here is a part of their "Terms and Conditions" that you should pay attention to, especially the last paragraph:

Notice: Limit of Liability:

CRISPDEALS.COM, IT'S CORPORATE OFFICERS, AFFILIATE'S,, DISTRIBUTORS, SHIPPING PARTNERS, AS WELL AS THE MANUFACTURERS OF SOLD PRODUCTS, SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF REVENUES OR PROFITS, INCONVENIENCE, EXPENSE FOR SUBSTITUTE EQUIPMENT OR SERVICE, STORAGE CHARGES, LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA, OR ANY OTHER SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE USE OR MISUSE OF, OR THE INABILITY TO USE, THE PRODUCT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL RECOVERY OF ANY KIND AGAINST AJRICHIECIES.COM, IT'S CORPORATE OFFICERS, AFFILIATE'S, DISTRIBUTORS, SHIPPING PARTNERS, AS WELL AS THE MANUFACTURERS OF SOLD PRODUCTS, BE GREATER IN AMOUNT THAN THE PURCHASE PRICE [LESS ANY SHIPPING,HANDLING AND INSURANCE FEES THAT WAS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO SHIP THE PRODUCT] AND CAUSING THE ALLEGED DAMAGE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, YOU ASSUME ALL RISK AND LIABILITY FOR LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY TO YOU AND YOUR PROPERTY AND TO OTHERS AND THEIR PROPERTY ARISING OUT OF USE OR MISUSE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE PRODUCT.NOT CAUSED DIRECTLY BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF AJRICHIECIES.COM, IT'S CORPORATE OFFICERS, AFFILIATE'S, DISTRIBUTORS, SHIPPING PARTNERS, AS WELL AS THE MANUFACTURERS OF SOLD PRODUCTS..

PLEASE NOTE : THE REASON CRISPDEALS IS ABLE TO SELL PRODUCTS AT A LOWER PRICE IS BECAUSE WE ARE A WHOLESALE COMPANY AND EVERYTHING IS IMPORTED FROM OVERSEAS. IMPORT MODELS STILL CARRY WARRANTIES; HOWEVER THEY ARE NOT COVERED IN THE USA. ANY PRODUCT THAT INDICATES THAT IT COMES WITH A USA WARRANTY IS WARRANTIED THROUGH CRISPDEALS.COM.

At least they're honest about who they are and what they do!
As others have advised, please consider this compa... (show quote)

AND they cannot spell - although the wrong spelling of "its/it's" is rampant on this forum, it is inexcusable in an official company document.

Why throw your money out on a Gray Market camera without possibility of repair and standard issue items like battery and charger.
