Does anyone know anything about this company? They are listed as an alternative supplier on Walmart's photo equipment pages. I've never heard of them. Based on their prices, I suspect they are grey market. Any info?
Thanks

I knew them years ago as little huts that developed film. If the prices are low, it's gray market.

Here is the 11/15/2015 "current" list of Nikon Approved Dealers. Anyone not on this list is considered "Grey Market".
http://cdn-6.nikon-cdn.com/where-to-buy/nikon_img_auth_dealers.pdfHaving said that, there may be a few doing business as another name, for instances "Sam's Club" is part of Walmart. So some detective work may be needed. I did look at "Photo Hut's" website and at their "about us" and I didn't see any parent company or "doing business as" in their listing so you may be correct. Also, I have noticed that many of the "additional" companies on Walmart's page are not put there by Walmart but by Google, Firefox and other browsers and additional purchase places.. It doesn't necessarily mean that they are "Approved" by Walmart, but that they have purchased "Google" or other ad space.

On further review and after going to the current Walmart website, I clicked on "additional retailers under camera and it brought up several known Grey Market sites. I would be very careful about making sure that my order came from Walmart and not someone else if ordering on their site. I would also call

I remember those little drive-up huts.

Gee, Jerry, that brings back memories. The original Photo Hut was founded in the Hartford, CT area and I knew the fellow who started them. He opened a kiosk in a department store where my father leased space for his business and I used to date the really cute little brunette who worked in the kiosk. Good Times! That goes back to the '60's.
I preferred the old "Camelot Photo Hut" chain. They catered to the female market. Three day, or more turnaround.
The motto under their title on the sign was...
"Just Wait Ladies... Someday Your Prints Will Come!"

Association with Walmart is enough for me to take a pass.

I called and paid extra for a US market D610 last week. I was very clear I wanted a US version with a US warranty meaning Nikon USA. It arrived, no warranty card and no D610(U) above the bar-code. Because of the misunderstanding they want to give me a warranty from CPScentral.com.
I not knowing better, bought a grey market body a couple years ago and luckily had no problems. I was very clear what I wanted and they sold it (the grey market) to me anyway. These guys are con men. The URL smartphotohut.com was registered with GoDaddy last Aug.
Run, tell everyone
I also like photography very much, I usually use my phone, unfortunately, that's why they are not very high-quality.
