Thanks Sinatraman and Tom for looking at my photos. The Chinese Junk was indeed unusual so I took advantage of the opportunity to get a shot. The towers are a landmark in the harbor. Used to be more of them. They were for Navy communication but I don't think they are used any longer..

Nice job... For those that take the time to download the pictures, most don't, it makes all the difference in the world. Great focus on the tour boat, and being able to see what all the passengers are doing, one guy even caught in the middle of a big yawn.

Mike

Mike, I don't think he was yawning. I think he was just the first to spot Jaws and that was a scream! lol

I like the Chinese junk also. Would you mind if I tried to remove the towers from your shot?

Here you go. The towers were distracting I thought.

I think it is. I used it last weekend to take photos of an anniversary celebration at church. Could zoom in on individuals from a good distance with no flash and still sharp focus. Tripod helped. Probably not enough zoom for distant wildlife but I managed to get a pretty good shot of a large bird in flight that was fairly close. The lens did well with panning. Were you successful in returning your other lens?

Do you know I've been waiting since the tenth of the month and they just shipped it yesterday ?
I tried to stop it 30 minutes after I talked with them the first time but it didn't work for me.
They advertised the f2.8 I thought I wanted and the reason it wouldn't work on my Nikon was because the one for $1099 was for a camera that uses film.
The lens their shipping suppose to be a good one but I don't think I'll be happy until I get the one you have.
I called them yesterday when they sent me a message that it had been shipped. He told me I had thirty day's to send it back. If I didn't purchase the other lens, it would cost me 10 per-cent restocking fee. Ans, if I purchased the other lens, they would not charge me that fee.
By the way, the one I want is $2300.
Lot's of trouble for me but wish me luck ...

If I were you I would contact my credit card company, dispute the charge, and refuse to accept the shipment. You are dealing with a well-known scam artist all the way and they feed off people that they can bluff into their rip-offs. Once you accept a delivery they have you. You have phone records (and maybe emails?) asking to cancel and they have taken WAY to long to ship, you have the right to decline delivery and not owe anything to these crooks. They will continue to intimidate you, but keep records and you can contact the FBI who will prosecute for internet fraud.

The lens I wanted is right at the price everyone else charges. That's why I'm trying to think ahead and get the one I really want.
They did mis;ead me on the ad -
Heck I didn't even know there was one for film camera's ...
