Thanks Snap Shot. With winter coming in, it was fun to find a place to shoot indoors.

Photographed at Replacements, LTD, whose world-wide headquarters is just outside Greensboro, NC. The figurine was displayed inside a glass and wood case, so there are still some artifacts of the reflective glass leftover in the image. I was entranced by the sweep of line in this image.

 beautiful shot Bob, nice flowing lines and colors. A few trips back had the opportunity to visit the Meissen Factory and also the Herend porcelain factory. You would have had a ball!

Thanks marsdad. And you're right ..... I would have felt right at home in those production facilities.

The stray reflections from the glass are not immediately apparent, but this image would be a near perfect example of the utiity of a polarizing filter. Of course ibstant solution is not to be expected for polarization quenching has all to do with angles. For example, suppose it is a glass box with the object of interest inside. The polarizing filter might quench the front face but do nothing for the top face and a partial quench on a side face. It would be worth trying just to see if there is any benefit.

The stray reflections from the glass are not immed... (show quote)
Had I been shooting with a DSLR, I could have put your recommendation into play John. As it was, I used a Nikon P600 p&s, with no threads for a filter.

Thanks Sirius. I noticed, too, this lady has quite an athletic build - some nice lines in that chassis.

Really beautiful Bob and even in download I cannot see any artifacts of the reflective glass; it seems as though you were able to eradicate them. Very very nice image my friend.

Thank you Sue. I swear, when I first glimpsed this figurine from afar I thought it was bird.
