This pic was taken by a dam here in the Houghton Lake, Michigan area. The water caught my eye looking blue to the nakedf eye.

I was surprised to see how the blue came out. Any critique for this pic.

I can see why you like this image, leland, I like it too. The water appears to be above eye level, which is weird.
I covered the bottom 1/3 of the image and it seemed to make it even better. Maybe it doesn't need all that gravel in the foreground.

My first thought was to crop out about 1/2 to 2/3 the gravel and just above the small puffy cloud. color and the rest is a great capture.

I bought your horizon down to the bottom '1/3' line and that is a big improvment to my eyes..... "..eyes of the beholder.." though. Your blues look great.
