This is a clean lens that was Tamron serviced last year.
It is a fine zoom lens for any Nikon DX (crop sensor camera) or FX (full frame).
You can check out sample images on my personal gallery on (cmpg.org). All of the bird images were shot with this lens as mounted on my then, Nikon D7000 camera.
The lens is clean and has no external damage to either the lens barrel or glass. There is no internal fungus or foreign material.
The asking price is $260.00.
Shipping and insurance are included in the sale price.

I'll always been pleased with the performance of this lens. Please visit my online gallery at
http://www.cmpg-annex.org/members/wvonuffel/media/ most of the bird images were short with this lens.
As for 300mm sharpness, never a problem. but it should always be remembered that all lenses pushed to their limits will not be as sharp as a point some what lower in their range.
I've used it with a 1.5X extender with success and at its full 300mm. That takes a lot of practice to work successfully.
If you'd like I can forward a 300mm file for your inspection.
Here is an image at full 300mm shot when I was using a D90. The image was edited in Lightroom and cropped by about 40%.
I hope this answers your query concerning 300mm sharpness..
Just wondering if this lens is still available for sale.
Sorry . . . long since sold to a friend and he is using it on a regular basis.
