nothing wrong with your eyes as yes the focus is off . Was out shooting in the wind. Just about the time you had focus the wind moved it.

Ya, you got to love the wind! Seems like every time I go out to get the flowers it knows. I even try tying them down. Not much luck tho. We had 50-60 mph wind this weekend. Stripped my Tulips. Only have a few that look good.

Very cool shot of the wasp. You can see the egg inside the nest. They do get pretty defensive when it comes to protecting their young. I really like the composition of the flower, but good focus when it's windy can be a bugger.

Wow didn't see the egg! Now that is too cool.

Which is why a tight crop is useful!
I would be proud to call this image as my own.

Thank all of you for your kind comments. This wasp nest was under the sofit of my home and was standing on a stool to get high enough. Would probably been funny to watch. Nakonion I used the setting you suggested and as you can see they worked great even on a Canon. hehe
