My Haunted House.
My Husband and our four children owned the 2nd oldest house in our town, built in 1874. We lived there for 3 years. The first thing that happened was the day we got the keys. My Husband had a curtain rod thrown at him from upstairs. Many, many unusual thing happened after that. The original light in the entryway didn't work. We decided we'd call a electrician after Thanksgiving. We had company over for thanksgiving and I said to my Husband, "I wish the light would work today at least." Well, guess, what. It did. It stayed lighting until our last guest left. After that it wouldn't work. Any other ghost stories out there?

Actually that is pretty cool to hear your story. Never had anything like the at the house. I did have a truck that turned on all it's lights. Didn't mater day or night. I would look out and they would be on.:) I would go out to look and they would be off.

Cool! A haunted truck. That's one I've never heard.
Long story short, a friend and I on nights at a military hospital saw the ghost of a nursing sister who had died there
about 20 years previously.

I had that truck for 5 years. And when I sold it to a friend it was still doing it. He went through all the wiring and thought he found the problem. But a few weeks later, it started doing it again.:) He took it out west to hunt. And when he was in the woods someone stole it.:):)

We've got a ghost cat in the house. I'll feel a cat rub on my leg, reach down and there's no cat there. There are times when the other cats and the dog will stop and watch something walking through the living room or sit at the bottom of the stairs and look up at something that's not visible to us(it was his favorite place to lay).
When I was quite young, we lived in a house in Southern Ontario. My dad had large, heavy tables loaded with woodworking equipment, also a shelf with many old bread tins that held screws, nuts, bolts etc.
On more than one occasion we woke to hear terrible sounds coming from the basement. Once it sounded like one of the large tables had suddenly become airborne and hit the basement wall. Dad immediately grabbed the gun and went downstairs, fully expecting to meet a robber. Nothing was out of place and the doors were all locked from the inside. Another night, it sounded as if the shelf had collapsed sending hardware all over the floor. Again, nothing out of place and all doors locked.
This went on for several years and we began to think the house or the land under it was haunted.
Eventually we moved to Toronto and my dad was talking to a geologist. The geologist explained that there was often a shift deep underground of shale due to the remnants of the glacier from the last ice age. This would make a terrible sound that might explain our noises.
Since we lived in the right area for this, that is probably what it was.
It was good to find the explanation for it, but took away from the drama a little bit too.
At least 80% of the investigations my team does will turn out to have a "natural" (non-ghost) reason for what is going on. As for the rest.............
I'm glad I don't drink!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing. I bet a lot of "spooky" things can be explained.

I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation - probably ghosts. :D
