Designed for the advanced enthusiast it is also a great back up for a pro. The CCD sensor is 40% larger than other compacts and coupled with a fast f2 zoom lens it makes amazing low light environment images. Auto ISO from 80-3200. 3" LCD screen. HD video with dual mics for stereo sound. Can shoot in RAW, and can make HDR photos in-camera. It does have a Tracking Focus mode that works OK for slow moving things...not so good for birds in flight or running soccer players. The Wink Self Timer mode allows you set the S95 on a tripod, jump in the picture and release the shutter by winking at the camera. You determine how much control you have over this camera from fully automatic to full manual. Dials, controls, menus and settings mimic the Canon DSLR's.
I purchased this factory reconditioned camera to take on a trip where carrying my DSLR was not practical. It was bulletproof and made stunning images. I added the "finger grip thingy" (Franiec Camera Grip) that you can see on the body just under the Canon logo. I also added an LCD screen protector and Canon's deluxe leather case (PSC-900). Battery, charger, 2GB SD card, wrist strap, manual, cables and Canon imaging software included.
$170 and I'll pay for shipping.
