Even though it isn't quite sunset, it's dark or will be by the time he gets home, and he could be almost invisible to another boat to his right. The lights would also have added "drama' to the picture, not that the photographer had any control over that.

I do understand that... Fortunately the lake is small and the two boats were communicating with each other by talking to each other... They both did dock with enough light that they could see each other... I would have love to get some shots with lights... Maybe next time... We do have a 74 year old that sails what looks like an old pirate ship out there and hope to catch him sometime... Big beard and all... Nope no hook or wooden leg... lol

thanks Angela for the thumbs up... I really appreciate it... All too often people forget what is right in their back yards... I will check but I think the site that i took these at are less than 3 miles as the crow flies... :-D :-D

Great shots - like them all, but my top vote goes to #2 with some dramatic highlights in the sky and reflection!

What a terrific series! I love how you were able to compose with the sun behind the sailboat. And those reflections are the icing on the cake. :thumbup:
