Would you please explain what you mean? Real kids, check. Real weddings, check. Real grown-ups, check. Hmmm. How could the videos be more realistic?

It was the couples wedding so if they wanted to include children on their occasion so be it. Those that differ have a choice.............simply do not attend and forever hold your peace

brides who fall back on the " it's my day" crap, and aunts and mothers of the brides. while the groom wants to skip to the I do's, kiss, and the bridal chamber, the women include all the craziness.

I can see these events splitting the families for generations. :D

Yep! All those scenes were definitely staged. I watched it twice before showing it to my bride. Children can be so wonderfully cute.

Staged? Only because you have been to a normal amount of weddings. Ask any wedding photog or videog. I have videoed over 2000. This is almost the rule, not the exception.

Joking - tongue-in-cheek - humorously sarcastic - pay attention to the

I had a flashback to the first wedding my grandparents dragged me to. It was a cousin who had been my first baby sitter. She was absolutely drop dead gorgeous--she is still hot at 85. But my real fascination was the thick white frosting on the cake.

Kids do not do well in Church. I was a lector and lay preacher in a mission in the northern midwest. We believed in having children at the Eucharist. I was "on the altar" when my wife and 18 month old son came up for communion--my son decided that was the place to be and tried to stay by throwing himself prone and screaming at the top of his lungs. My wife had to deal with it. She decided at that point to skip morning prayer when I officiated.

All in all, the children remind us that big, fancy weddings--often an expression of the ego of the MOTB--can be pretentious and downright silly. And ultimately children are a breath of fresh air. I know if it is an adult only service that it is going to be boring and I better not eat the frosting with my fingers.
