Alaska Inside Passage Cruise-Ketchikan-Road Trip 2015

This is our second cruise. I packed light in the camera dept. We just wanted to enjoy the cruise.
The first stop is Ketchikan. We had planned to just walk around the dock area. Then we heard about a bear sighting the day before. Sign us up!!!
The tour was around Ketchikan in a regular van.

1-This image is at the end of the walking RainForest tour. Up in the trees are the ziplines. To the left in the trees is the old saw mill. Out of view to the right is the fish hatchery. This is where the bear sighting was the day before.

2-Black bear at the hatchery. This was beyound my lens reach. Pitiful, but a bear....

It was exciting to see the bear. It disappeared a few minutes after taking this shot.

If we come back, it will probably be a few years.
We were in the state 8 years ago for 3 weeks.
Had a very nice time!!

Pat, you did good. I still wish I stayed up there when I had the chance. Move from Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Anchorage in late December of '96. Had a great job and just did not stay. Missed the warm beaches and tan bodies.
