OK, Maybe it's a case of GAS, or perhaps it's just my ongoing desire to find the "perfect" photo editing software, but Friday I learned of a program from Macphun called "Snapheal." It's pretty well reviewed and I've had difficulty with Lightroom removing objects from photos (telephone wires, stray objects, etc.). So, I thought I'd buy a copy.

Well, it turns out the publisher (Macphun), is holding a five day "Pre-order special" on a bundle of programs they call the Creative Kit. The kit includes videos by Serge Ramelli (who I enjoy), some textures and presets, a couple of eBooks, and the programs Snapheal Pro, Noiseless Pro, Tonality Pro, Focus Pro and Intensify Pro. The pre-order includes getting the new CK with FX Photo Studio Pro 1 day before the official launch.

OK, so I bit and ponied up the $89.99 for what they list as a $455 value.

I guess it's too late to ask if I got a good deal or not, but does anyone have some current experience with any or all of these products? My very short experiment with Snapheal was quite impressive!

EDIT: One feature of the "pro" versions I liked was their ability to work as plug-ins to PhotoShop and Lightroom. I have yet to play with this capability, yet.

yes, I've used MacPhun products from the start and they continue to get better. They also still work as a plug-in for Aperture.

The MacPhun developers are the same ones who wrote Nik products. They started this company and created these photo programs when Nik was purchased by Google. Since the purchase, Nik has made no improvements. MacPhun has developed some excellent software. You won't be disappointed.

It's a great MAC product.

Back in January 2014, my Apple store recommended Snapheal Pro. Great product for removing those unwanted beer cans and flip flops out of a beach scene. I've been sold since. I will be buying the bundle as well at the fantastic discounted price. And, their products work well as plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop Elements as well. Macphun's support team is always a pleasure!

Like you, I can't resist a good deal, and I ordered it a few days ago when the topic appeared here. I haven't installed it on the Mac yet. Regardless of the list price vs sale price, it seems like a good product for the money.

A related follow-up: When attempting to install the Focus 2 Pro program as a plug-in, the product would not recognize that I had Lightroom installed (it did see and install as a PhotoShop plug-in). I wrote an email to Macphun support and received a quick reply -- on Sunday! The response was that the developers were aware of this issue and that an in-product update notification would appear once fixed. Support indicated they were available 24/7. Nice!

Thanks. Good to know.

Though I haven't made a concerted effort to use it routinely as Aperture does almost all of what I want, Macphun is good. I recently removed some wires etc from photos. Very good results both on the wire crossing a solid blue sky as well as crossing foliage. You did well with the price.

I recently purchased the special MacPhun package for $89+. While I haven't used every tool yet, I'm impressed with Snapheal Pro and Focus 2 Pro. These are both excellent product for Mac photo editing. I don't know if they are comparable with Photos, but I'll experiment.

Can someone please post the link for the deal? Or direct me to it? Sounds like something I should buy!

Thanks Jerry! ....I thought there may be some special code or something. But I found it - and bought it. Looks like a good deal to me.
