Yesterday I had a gas attack. I have been looking for a wide angle lens for my landscape photos. I decided to go with canons 17 to 40mmL for my 6d. I have the Tokina 11 to 16 for my 60d and love it. I have had that lens for a few years but it is for crop sensor only. Oh I will still keep it never hurts to have a trusted back up :D . I have one problem though how do I tell the wife (BOSS) Help please.

Can't do that she might take it the wrong way. The dog house is not big enough for me and the dog. Dog is 150 pounds and me I will not mention that.

I have two 61 pounders. Two large hound dogs. And they don't sleep in their dog house they take over our bed!

I've had a different experience with my photo GAS attacks.

1. I usually buy used. She does not freak out as much over a $80 lens. Or a $200 view camera.

2. I make her part of the decision making. So she feels like part of the purchase making even though I am the only one to use it. Also any arguing came long before I get the item.

3. I bought her an entire used camera system from a friend so she does not have to touch my stuff.

4. She seems to like my hobby and likes that it gets me out of the house. Back before we were married, sometime during the early Nineteen Eighties she with her own money bought me a $450+ Gitzo Tripod as a gift! That is '81 to '83 dollars.

From useless flattery to getting her drunk. All good ideas that will backfire.

If you are really married and accept each other she likely will raise her eyebrows, give you the look and dismiss you folly as being part of you (unless you sold her first child then she kills you!).

That is so correct. I have been married for 26 years and yes the eyebrows will raise and then she will ask the question. How much. I did buy it used for less than $600.00. That always helps. :D
