An old friend had this camera and tried to sell it in a yard prior to moving, I had no idea she had it. I had no idea it existed! I'll try to get some photo's later on. Look'snlike ntwo backs for it but I'm thinking one is a film carrier and one a back, 3 1/4x 4 1/4 film. Found this on the internet about it.

http://www.historiccamera.com/cgi-bin/librarium2/pm.cgi?action=app_display&app=datasheet&app_id=1133

The lens is a Zeiss Kodak Anastigmat f 6.3 No 2, Pat Feb 243,03. Serial # 1316912. Appears to be blue steel and brass constructiin,

Name plate say's Folmer & Schwing Division - Eastman VKodak Co. - Rochester, N.Y.

It has what appears to be a sport's type view finder, very nicely made.

Maybe I should stop now and see about some photo's to show things I've little more than a vague idea what they are. It is in a nice felt lined, leather covered case. More later. This is interesting, appears to be a very early sped graphic camera!

Did She Sell it?

I've been making quite a bit of money on old Large Format camera's.

Crying shame if she took $5 for it at a Garage sale.

Large format is HOT right now for both collectors AND for actual use.

She needed to get out of town FAST...right????????????

Could have easily kissed off a few hundred dollars!!

Interesting reading the link, esp as one of my first 'real' cameras was a Ciroflex TLR, still have it, never knew it was made by Graflex. Bob.

Are you actually interested in selling it?!?!?
If so, I'm interested in buying it! If not, I don't
Blame you they are a dream to work with!

My father had one if those when I was a child and shot 120 Ron film with it using the film back you described. It was a great camera that took amazing images.

Glad to hear it's going to be used! It's too special not to use. Enjoy

I still make use of my "Crown" Graphic 4X5 view camera.
Along with a 1941 Ansco that I rebuilt.
Both are in use and producing Photographic Paper negatives.
I had over 1000 sheets of Photo-Paper that I somehow could not just toss into the trash. So I put it to use and I am having a really good time with the "old" Cameras.

I used a speed Graphic during my Army tour in France (1962-1964) I also had my own Linhoff $x5 with a 120 back, pluss a
90mm Angulan, a 150 Schneider Symmar, a 210mm Schnieder
Symmar, and a 360 Tele Xenar, I still have them, and for many
years did ad work. The Speed Graphic was great, but,
not as good as the Linhoff for table tops. The Speed Graphic also had 2 shutters, one in between the lens and one Focal plane
shutter. You had to be careful not to use the Focal plane shutter
or you may have a black screen in front of your film, and wind up
with nothing.

I still have my Crown and my Leica 3F. I use a Canon Rebel now. Once in a while I take out the Leica wind up the focal plane and hit the shutter just to hear the sweet sound.

I always wanted to get a Graflex when I was collecting. I have 4x5 Speed Graphic and my first camera was 2-1/4x3-1/4 Speed Graphic. Bought it in '46.

My first 4x5 was a Super Graphic. I still have it but don't use it much because I bent the frame a little when the wind blew it over on the North Shore many years ago.
