This photo was taken at the George Landis Arboretum near Esperance, NY. I would like to know whether the picture looks better in sepia or color. Any other comments or critique welcomed.
Thanks,
Bmac 8-)
I like the color one more. Nice photos though. You do some neat work.

As long as you're having fun that's what counts. I enjoy what I do by doing my photography. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't be putting so much into it.

Color for me.
Thanks for viewing and commenting Ftpecktim. I rarely like sepia, but did think it made this rather mundane so so photo a bit better. 8-)
I kinda like both of of them. They each have their own qualities. Nice job.

I vote for the color.
Nice shot.
The flowers don't show well in sepia. Somehow removing several of the flowers would make the pump be more of a stand out. The color pix is very good. The flowers and blue pump work better together in color.Just MHO.
If the pump was on its own then it would look good in sepia, my fav is the color one.
I would say color because of the yellow folowers. However the Sapia is still great. Well done job.
Definitely color. the blue pump against the yellow flowers and the green grass are strong visually.

sepia because the pump is old fashioned the sepia gives it a nostalgic look. it may be my monitor but the color seems too vibrant for the subject matter.
Sepia for my eye. I see the old pump as being the primary subject. The color version takes the eye away from the pump too much, seems a bit of a distraction. Based upon the primary subject, the sepia version works better for me.
Also, I think the pump being blue, against all of that green grass, is a color clash. The sepia eliminates this large color clash.
Plum wonderful image in the sepia tones.
