I've heard that when traveling to a country with a very humid environment, you might want to store your gear in plastic bags with silica gel packs to avoid mold and corrosion. I haven't had the necessity to do this myself, so I don't really know how important it is. Just something I remembered reading a while ago.

What do you usually shoot? Landscape, What's ever in front of your camera, Wildlife, ... of course that will effect what you shoot on the China trip. it isn't easy to think and see outside the box. China has a lot of history and really futuristic places. Shanghai has art deco hotels and hotel that have lobbies on the 83rd floor. Keep an eye out for the out of place.

Cool Thank you Sir,

I like to shoot arctechure, landscape and wildlife, people sometimes if there is something different like costumes. oh I must say that you are helping to become more excited about the trip.

I spent a month in China.... I was blown away by the size and the amount of people, and they keep places that are 100's of years old. We on the other hand destroy and build up. enjoy.

Thank you, it take a lot of time to get her parade ready. Since they restored her she has been fired up and shoot water every year. Therefore technically she is once again in Active service. Although they would be hard press to need her like that today.

No no. I was talking about Carl r's photo of asian food steamers (title steam heat). Not your locomotive from another thread, although that's a nice shot also.
