Same here! Those plastic case's are probably still in use! As I recall the old metal one's were made of tin.

See above. I use mine for paper clips, brads, thumbtacks, straight pins, push pins, and other office supplies. When my uncle died in 1967, I inherited a brick of Ektachrome (expired ten years earlier). I tossed the film and kept the cans. They are just too cute.
