Imagine how difficult and dangerous without all the gear of today at hand. Nice pics

Our biggest thing is Summerfest- the worlds largest musical festival! You should come for a couple days ( drive, check in, go to the fest, rest up, have a full festival day the next, drive home the next) If you've never been, it's ridiculous! Check out the summerfest/Big Gigg web site for the lineup- it looks pretty good this year.

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out.

Your welcome, I'm still waiting to get a picture of their BIG engine, the ladder truck with the rear stear, I've seen it a few times, but no camera. I'm glad you enjoyed them.

It's funny that you would start this topic tonight. I went downtown to do some night shots of the city, and guess what? I just happened to see these two trucks on my way home, so here they are, I thought you would like the ladder truck. Nikon D5100 at 1600 ISO. I think I was set on Night shots in the scenes mode.

I love them. Thank You for posting them. When I was in Salt Lake City, I never had the chance to go to one of their stations to look around or even see any of their units so this is kind of special. Thank you.

It sure does. I found those old units in the historical society & museum in Winona, MN in December 2011.

Thank You. Nice unit.

My mom used to volunteer for the local rescue squad, but as all of us kids got older she started having to answer calls that involved our friends in car accidents. She had a difficult time dealing with that so she quit.

I can understand how that goes. That's one of the things that can happen over time. I had a call like that just over a year ago where a family member was involved so I went as a family member instead of the photographer. Your mother made a good decision. Please thank her for her service and thank you for posting that photo with this update.

I'm not so sure this qualifies as an emergency vehicle.
