The first shot of the Bee was taken with the Sigma 105 mm Macro lens with the FujiS5Pro hand held I had just bought the lens and had to try it out.
Picture two was put up as the site is called but my hog is not that ugly is it ?
Shot three was taken in Feb 2012 when I took a small group to Lake Nakuru in Kenya it was around 06:00 a good time for both light and animals feeding.
I found this Bee just waiting for a picture it was drunk on pollen and stayed still for awhile
Dedicated to the person that named this site
Getting up early on a Safari brings fantastic light
Great Hog!!!! #3 has a great atmoshere
Thanks for your comment on the Hedgehog, we have eight hogs that visit the garden for food. Here are a few more pictures taken recently
Found in the road with a squashed parent we took it home it still visits but is bigger now
I use the name of birds eye and these are worth looking into
Having a pond gave me the chance of this shot
Robin in the garden taken with the camera on a tripod and a wireless remote
Taken on a Nikon D7000 and a Nikon ED 70-300mm
Taken at Paxton Pits Nature Reserve my local
Taken at Godmanchester on the River Ouse
Poppy Head taken on a Sigma 105 mm Macro lens
Setting up a Home for Bees brought my chance for some close ups
Coming out from the box I placed to get shots of Bees
Your photos are fantastic. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Thanks for your comment to my shots.Miss are you a Mountain Mama from West Virginia. It matters not the camera you have what is important is that one uses it like it's a part of you. When I get some new equipment I close my eyes to get familiar with the places the controls are to go to them still looking at my subject. Now to be able to to see inside the frame and find another shot with in it as the example of the Collard Dove's will show you. The next Barn Owl shot took hours of waiting. I will also add a few simple shots taken on a second/hand compact £40 Fuji AV130 proving its training the eyes to see. Lastly you take pictures for your pleasure and if you like it job done
Taken at Paxton Pits the intention was to stop a bird in flight
Here is the picture inside the above with a bit of cropping
It might mean you have to wait for it to happen but planning is as much fun
Taken on a S/H Fuji Compact £40 you don't need expensive gear
Again a Second/Hand Compact bought for £40.
Again a Second/Hand Compact bought for £40.
Thanks Perlin for your comments I have added a few more shots, so from my last Safari group trip to Kenya I take small groups to Africa for instruction and photos I have being doing this this I worked in Tanzania 1995 now having retired I operate from Cambridge UK and go to South Africa with Less mobile folks and those in wheelchairs---- can you imagine what it feels like to stroke a tame Cheetah in a Private Park leaning out of your chair or feeding a baby Hippo.
Waiting pays dividends here I was in my car
Again a close crop can bring more impact
Looking for a feed like all babies do
Bullet 1971 Thanks for your comment: here are some more taken in the Amboseli Park from there almost on the Equator you can see the highest mountain in Africa Mount Kilimanjaro to see the snow is rare as 75% of the time it's covered in clouds.
Found it and it tastes good
Snow on the Equator
Time for a fight or was it just a game

Taken locally I live in a very pretty and famous part of England more so there is a good restaurant in Godmanchester the town was granted a Royal Charter by the King in 1215 to hold a weekly market and now its a good place for relaxation.
The same River as the gulls feeding above and the shots below
The River Ouse a walk a long its banks brings many subjects
I do like this shot with the Orange to add impact
After awhile the bird decided to fly away but I got it framed.

These are also exceptional! And, you have a beautiful home. Published in Nat Geo-WOW. That's what all here dream of-well, me anyway.
Fabulous pictures, really loved looking at them, and now you've made up my mind on the macro lense I want too!!
