With or without? Can't decide and need help

I shot this last night and am torn between leaving the swimmers in or taking them out. Always helpful to get a second (or third) opinion.

I agree- out. They don't look like swimmers,just something floating in the water.

I remember, in one of my photo classes, to work on simplifying the pictures. Composition was the topic. Isn't it great that, with digital, we can PP the unwanted elements out of the image? Or add too, whatever the case. Sure, we could do it with film, but ya gotta love the ones and 0's.

Out. My reason is that they are nothing more then mere black dots on the surface. Since they are almost unidentifiable, they are more a distraction than an addition to the photograph.
