I really like the last two. great shots!

Thank you. For the last shot I took about 20 exposures of the rising sun. I would click every time I saw a bird fly somewhere in the frame. Then, I cloned the bird from an area in the frame away from the sun, to directly in front of the sun. Result is lots of fun.

Decided to get up before the crowds this holiday weekend and see what the boardwalk had to offer. Comments are always welcome.

Outstanding images Erich. While I am not a big fan of B&W, I really like #1 and spent some time just looking. But if voting for a favorite, I would have to go with #3, "Under the Boardwalk". Just love that composition and the water.

One of my favorite things in life is to rise before the rabble. Great shots... I can feel the quietness!

Thank you. I am a big fan of B&W; but I understand those who are not. Maybe I like it so much because I first dabbled in photography in a darkroom developing and enlarging B&W prints. The third photo was a bit tricky. My tripod was actually in the water at times. That meant that the sand would become unstable under the tripod legs. I "helped" it along by grabbing the head of the tripod when waves were coming. Surprised I was able to get any sharpness at all that way. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the photos.

Thanks, Frodo. As you can tell, I like that time of day as well. Sometimes (like today) It can be a challenge to get out of bed; but as soon as I do, I'm ready to go. Glad you enjoyed the photos.

In particular, #1 and #2 are such interesting subjects, compositions, light. Just spectacular!

(the b&w conversion is super work, too!)
