Welcome to Day 108 :) It's Telephoto Tuesday.. Time to bring your world a little closer ... Here are some examples to get us started .. all were taken at 300mm. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

I got as close as I could. I had my old camera with me, and not my new one, but this got me so excited. I saw a Pileated woodpecker today. I have never seen one before.

They are so pretty...had one attached to hubbys truck on the mirror...too funny...

I love bluebirds and monitor 18 houses. I have 10 babies right now. I saw a funny interaction between bluebirds a couple of years ago. The male feedes the female when she is sitting on the nest. While if was taking the pictures the female left the nest while he was gone. When he got back to the box he flew to the entrance to feed her but she was gone. He flew to the top of the house and stood there with the food in his beak. He waited a few seconds and looked down under the top of the house. He didn't see her so he stood back up. He did this 3 times and then he stood there and ate the worm himself. Of all the photos I shot I missed that one becaue I did not plan on him doing that. Here is a picture I took last week at a house with 5 babies. Do you have a good caption?

Amazing AWESOME photos today, Photogrl57!

One reason I love this challenge is the way it can draw you into unexpected situations. I had just put Caroline down for a nap about 9:45 a.m. this morning when I saw a little lizard on the front porch. So, armed with my 55 - 200mm lens, I eased out onto the front porch, but he scooted away. So while I waited to see if Caroline was going to stay down for awhile, I went on the screened back porch. Within a 10 minute time frame I had 2 different birds pose for me and then saw two hawks way above the trees! Then the lizard turned back up on the front walk and I got 2 photos of him. Just a really neat morning! Not great photos, but very cool morning!
