This lake outside Jasper provided us with many compositions and lots of color! It was one of those places we discovered by getting on the road less traveled.

Beautiful shots dmeyer.

Beautiful composition, lighting and color!
I'm a sucker for sun rise/set shots, so #2 really does it for me, but the third is very nicely done, too.
Nice set, again! I thought for sure #2 was going to be a sunrise, but I checked & it's a sunset. Anyway, beautiful shot.
Did you experience any smoke from the Oregon/Washington fires?
Glad to have you drop in, Martax!

Thank you teesquare! I'll be headed your way in a few more weeks to enjoy the waterfalls. It wouldn't be autumn without a trip to Transylvania County!

That makes two of us lsimpkins--those blazing colors are addictive for me! Nice to have you drop in to view the set!

Your first instinct was correct, that is definitely sunrise--or technically pre-dawn--both #2 & #3! (If you were going off the data imbedded in the image, I didn't reset the date or time for the trip.)
No smoke during the Oregon trip, but did see the aftermath of a fire that destroyed the scenery near Sisters. The only smoke that has made it hard to breathe some days has been right where I live--the result of thermal inversions that pocketed the smoke in the valleys from a fire on the mountains at the 'Balds'.
#2 was the one for me. Great shot.all others were good also.
What a magnificent set,,,,,,,,regards ringo
Beautiful series, very well done. Excellent compositions, exposure and color.

My pleasure!
Let me know when you are coming. I live halfway between High Falls, and Look Glass Falls.
Will be in Italy for most of Sept. - but, if you come this way when I am around, would enjoy meeting.
