Took a nostalgic trip to RAF Museum Cosford, many of the aircraft there were types I had either flown on, worked with or been stationed with. great place to visit and free to enter!

Thanks for that, I remember flying to Sardinia from Wildenrath in the Britannia, and my wife coming out to Gutersloh in the C130. :thumbup:

I did the Decimomannu trip a few times from RAF Wildenrath in early 80's on both VC10 and the BAE 146. The Brit had been retired before I joined in 1979. Also did a 4 1/2 year tour at Gutersloh between 1988 and 1993 handling many C130's inc the one on display at Cosford..... happy times.

I was at Gutersloh from 1984-89, was the Dental Hygienist there.
The Britannia flights were in the early 70's when I was at Bruggan. Happy days indeed. :thumbup:

Spent a few weeks back in the late 70s at RAF Cosford, at the Joint Services School of Photography, as it happens. Spent many hours wandering the museum taking pictures, although we were mainly dealing with taking 'specialised' stuff - shooting in the dark with Ilford HP5 rated at 25000 ASA/ISO, stuff like that.
