This is funny. I read a bit about Outlook and watched the video. Then I opened it (Outlook 2013) on my computer and found that the trial period had ended. I didn't know there was a trial period. I only got this because I was offered a chance to open an Outlook email account. Outlook 2010 is no longer available as a trial, and I would have to buy Outlook 2013 for $110.00. I'll still with Windows Live Mail.

I used to work for Microsoft as an Outlook engineer. Outlook is part of Microsoft office suite. I am a little prejudice of course. It has contacts, calendar and notes. You can do more with Outlook than any other email program I have seen. You can have separate folders for different people or for different topics. You can use for multiple accounts. It is very customizable. It came with the office suite but now Microsoft started renting MS Office for x
number of dollars per year depending on what office programs you get in your office suite. I hate renting software. But I still think you should buy office professional for $100 and Wrangler jeans for $8. I also hate paying for tech support. OH MY GOD. The world has passed me by!

I also have time warner road runner email, Outlook, and Windows live mail. I find that the TW online email is terrible. Slow, unstable, clunky. I like Windows live mail because it downloads the email and has a fresh and friendly interface. Outlook also is great but it reminds me too much of my work (where we use outlook) and it has too many bells and whistles that most people never use. I have not converted my email to Windows 10 yet. Has anyone else made the conversion?

I am still using Office Outlook 2007* on this machine which is now Win 10. It seems to be working fine. My wife's old Dell Optiplex 620 (32 bit) is doing fine with her gmail. I haven't set up the new Dell Laptop for email yet but I will give the new Win 10 email a try on that one.

*I retired in June that year so I updated office and related programs to the 2007 versions with the intention of that being the last update I would ever need.

You can also do much the same to support multiple accounts with Mozilla Thunderbird, and its free!
