So then what's the actual budget, including glass? $1500-1700?

Been looking but can't seem to find a difference between the T6s and. T6i. Besides price can someone clear this up for me please

Just Google canon t6i vs t6s!

http://thedigitalcamera.net/canon-rebel-t5i-vs-t6i-vs-t6s-whats-the-difference/

The T6i and the T6s can be considered as two different models of the same product. While the T6i follows the model style of the classic Canon XX0D series in manipulation, the T6s takes the 70D as an example, as it is not only equipped with a top LCD display but also has an installed Quick Canon Control dial, forming the classic double-command dial control style of Canon.
The T6i is actually the simplified version of the T6s, end the functions that the T6s has but the T6i does not have include:
Top info LCD
Quick control dial on rear
Electronic level
Eye sensor for use with optical viewfinder
Servo AF in live view
The T6i is $100 cheaper than the T6s in listing price. Because the top info LCD and Quick Control dial will completely change our habit of shooting, I think in situations where the buyer is not terribly price sensitive, we should select the enhanced version of the T6s instead of the T6i.

no glass at all like feel of Canon

Don't let these guys bully you out of the Rebel. T6s or T6i both sound like awesome cameras. I have owned the 70D - and it was boring... It just did everything ok, (actually sold it and bought a SL1). I think the T6 sounds more fun with Rebel fun features.

No one is bullying...opinionated perhaps. That said, here's a great review...even they agree...better options out there.

Interesting comment, so you think the rebel series is superior to the 70D. Can you please explain why? I have been leaning towards buying the 70d for nature/wildlife photography replacing my t3i.

Looks like the s model does hdr video.

The S model also has a top lcd screen and the rear wheel controller as seen on the 70D and 6D. Both are more professional features. That's the one I'd choose if I were going that route. If your plans are to use it mostly in full auto though and not take advantage of the camera's semi auto and manual modes, then consider going for the cheaper version.

I'm still waiting for an overall budget (including lenses) before making recommendations. It'd also be nice to know what types of things the OP intends to photograph as well (Studio, Landscapes, weddings, wildlife, general, etc.). A skill/experience level might be nice to know too.

I owned a 70D too, was disappointed, but went mirrorless instead.
Not looking back.

If you don't want to head down the mirrorless road, then likely a d7200 would fit the bill.

After you decide go to the Canon store. They have some good buys on refurbished and you get the same warranty as new. A lot of folks buy this way including myself and have been satisfied....Rich
