saw this guy yesterday,went back this morning to see if i could get a better shot and he was gone.even worse i cant find any of the caterpillers on my orange tree. :cry: tom
It is big hairy and ugly but it's very good shot.
This appears to be a near-mature female Orb Weaver spider, most likely Araneus gemma.

Nice clear shot. Was it sleeping, or has it expired? The way it is curled up and exposed to view, it kind of looks dead.
