Playing With Infra Red

Happy Monday, everybody. I've always wanted to delve into IR imaging and finally have gotten an opportunity to do so. A Photog friend from Florida gifted me a converted Canon G11 and I was able to get my hands on a converted Nikon D3200 for an afternoon while I waited for the Canon to arrive in the mail. The fist image is from the Nikon, the other two from the Canon. I've got a lot of work to do but can already tell that I'm going to enjoy learning the Ins and Outs. Anyway, three early attempts. Hope you like and thanks for the look. :)

Wonderful pictures but so different from each other! Are these colors accidental or you have control over them?

Thanks, Ssymeono. You do have control over color depending on the conversion of the camera. The D3200 is converted for 700nm so, based on my VERY limited experience so far, I don't have quite the color control as I do with the Canon which has been converted for Extreme Color. Please don't take this as gospel, though. Like I said, this (IR) is very new to me and, as I spend more time with it, I may find that I have more or less control than I thought, lol. Thanks for the look.

It seems to me that the digital IR is different than the old film IR which was capable of detecting colors lost in works of art or features below the surface. I surely miss that quality.
