And who do you think taught you English . The only american lingo was apache , Mohawk , sue, and a couple others . All spoke the true language of
USA and Canada . How many words of that can you speak . Don't call the

"Sue"? Wasn't there a song about a tribe called Sue or something similar? Probably got forgotten somewhere along the Trail of Tears.

Either Norsk or French would be fine by me. English, I imagine one could accommodate that. As for the Southern states, your words are somewhat ungentlemanly, Sir.

I certainly make no claim to any knowledge of native American first nation languages, but it is a fascinating and rich culture.

Changed thread: I had to look up "Sue" 'cause my memory isn't quite so sharp at 89. The song was written by Johnny Cash, with 10 verses. One verse ends with these lines:

So I gave you that name & I said goodbye,
I knew you'd have to get tough or die,
And it's the name that helped to make you strong.

It gets better!

I believe that we should stop referring to focal length
as seen from a 35mm point of view .
With all the different size sensors it does make things a bit confusing .
Or if we do continue then if a lens is made for a a certain censor then at least state the equivalent focal length .
If a 50mm lens is designated DX , It should be 75mm .
How hard would it be to put on the side of a FF lens ,FF 50mm ,DX 75mm .
sorry if this makes no sense to you .
Well no, you couldn't do that, because it IS 50mm. What you could refer to is the crop factor relative to "normal" perspective, which would be 1.5x.

Having had time too sleep on this maybe you are correct .
How about putting the crop factor on the side of the camera .

When you are shopping for cameras, that information is easily available in the specs.

You don't seem to get sarcasm do you? When you mentioned "Sue" previously it was in the context of native American first nation languages, and it is spelled "Sioux" in case you need to look it up.

When will people learn a 50 mm lens is a 50 mm lens. You don't change lenses bey changing sensor size. The view is equivalent to what it would be with that lens on a 35 mm film camera. So it should be stated that a 50 mm lens will give the field of view of a 75 mm lens. The lens does not change. - Dave
