Great shot of osprey against beautiful blue background!

Thank you, Swamp-Cork. We have been having very clear, cloudless blue skies lately. Very dry with forest fire dangers this time of year here in North Idaho.

Thank you very much, Sylvia. It always a challenge to capture BIF, but very rewarding when you get a good one.

Great shot. What happen to the Tamron 150--600mm?

Thank you, Orrie. I still use my Tamron 150-600, but I have been taking insect and large bird shots at the same time and this is where the Canon 100-400 II shines with it's near focus abilities at 2-3 feet to infinity.

Thank you Harvey! #3 was taken just off HWY 95 in the Round Lake area, #2 was taken along Twin Lakes Road and #1 was taken along HWY 41 between Rathdrum and Post Falls. I think most of those little 50's era places in Wallace are gone now Actually, it has become a tourist mecca as has Sandpoint.

Thank you very much, Harvey. I appreciate your nice comments.

Thank you, Greg. I have had years of experience with hand held shots. The Canon 100-400 II, with it's great stabilizer, makes it easy to get these hand held shots.
