I was anxiously awaiting for an adult Redheaded Woodpecker to land on
the far railing of our deck. Much to my surprise a juvenile landed on the
much closer railing & I was able to get a very clear shot of him just a few
feet away with my Limux FZ200. After he flew minutes the adult landed &
got his/her Peanut. Check out the feet on the adult. I can see why they say
birds are related to dinosaurs.

First two shots are superb. The third one seems a little blurred. I have only seen one of these in my 60 some years of living & then only for maybe 5 seconds or less. Got a shot but it wasn't very good.

Hello cameranut. Yes, I do admit the 3rd shot was a it blurry. Caught the gorgeous guy, in midst of action while he was pecking at peanut.
Thanks so much to all of you for the nice compliments.
