WOW guys!!! I had my day trip turn into an overnighter and all the responses! I would love to thank each and every one of you personally but I think that would take the post up to 12 pages! So please except a general thank you for looking and giving your opinions on my photos!
Just to answer a few comments that I have read........NOT ALL the photos that I would like to enter were put up for a vote. I have some that I personally like that I am entering and if they go up in flames then so be it but at least I tried. :) I am able to enter up to 10 photos and was hoping that I could get a general consensus on some of these to help fill in the gaps of the 10 that I can enter.
Again, thank you all very much for your time and help!!!

Shane, I was surprised at all of the comments by the UHH team. Also, as more comments rolled in, I agreed that the sleeping duck was VERY special. It was not the best image regarding focus, etc. but it was so unique! Still, I think that, whichever photos you submit, you will find success in the competition.

Good luck and let us know how you did in the competition. I still would like to know the equipment you used!

Thank you for the kind words and the support!
My apologies for not getting this to you before. I am using a Canon T2i with either a Canon 18-55mm or the Tamron70-300mm lens.

Well the request was for opinions and I gave an honest response. When asked by someone else for things to do in LA I suggested to walk around the port and folks thought this was hilarious suggesting I carry an anchor etc I was going to respond to this but decided since I was new would let it go. But it seems that opinions of new persons aren't very welcome here. No I have not been to many photo competitions and have only sold a few pics but I have been in other competitions and judged many many times. Will now go to lurk mode and enjoy all the nice pics except to say I carried or wore nothing special just was myself.

Shane, this is tough as they are all very nice work. You have a wonderful eye for photography, keep shooting, you are very good at it. I think for me I would eliminate 4, 8 and 12, just my honest opinion, Thanks for sharing ! Good luck.
